Middle School English Language Arts (Critical Literacies)

The educator is responsible for classroom instruction in english language arts (Critical literacies), facilitating daily advisory lessons, and providing explicit reading comprehension and writing instruction through a workshop approach. This role also involves collaborating on interdisciplinary instruction, serving as an advisor for 10-12 students, and potentially teaching an elective class.

Candidates must have a minimum of three years of teaching experience, including experience providing research-Based reading and writing instruction to adolescents, and must possess a bachelor's degree in education, preferably related to literacy or humanities. Comfort with and the ability to connect with middle school students, along with strong communication skills and awareness of adolescent development research, are required.
