Middle Grades Reading/Language Arts Teacher

DuBois Integrity Academy (DIA) is hiring for a Middle Grades Reading/Language Arts Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic school year. DuBois Integrity STEM Academy’s academic program has two pillars that support substantial achievement improvement: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) combined with Blended Learning. We use theme-based, interdisciplinary, integrated curricula to facilitate instruction and learning.

Objectives

The Middle Grades Reading/Language Arts teacher is responsible for supporting student achievement in the areas of reading and language arts. Position objectives include working with students and staff to improve student achievement within the framework of student response to intervention.

Responsibilities

  • Act as coach/resource teacher to support implementation and fidelity of the universal curriculum.
  • Develop resources for Tier 2
  • Participates in building comprehensive intervention model (CIM) action planning towards schools goals.
  • Collaborates with classroom teachers, building principals, and other relevant stakeholders to analyze data and monitor student progress.
  • Support implementation of assessments for students as needed.
  • Provides diagnostic assessments for students as needed.
  • Creates student intervention plans collaboratively with classroom teachers and/or school problem solving teams.
  • Provides Tier 2/3 interventions when appropriate.
  • Works with the 6th-8th reading and language arts coordinators to develop goals for the department and plan for staff development
  • Provides input for reading/language arts program development.
  • Continues professional development in a variety ways.
  • Perform other task as assigned.

Qualifications

Good communication skills, excellent organizational and planning skills, motivation for professional growth, strong ability to work effectively with staff and parents in a positive manner, in-depth subject area knowledge, knowledge in the area of instructional methods, curriculum and assessment. (Degree required)
