The school social worker will provide personal, academic, career and technical education, and social/Emotional health counseling to students and their families enrolled at the virginia school for the deaf and blind. This role also involves assisting in the provision of essential services for children with deafness or blindness through quality day and residential instructional programs.

Minimum qualifications include a master's degree of social work and holding or being eligible for a virginia license as a pupil personnel services professional with a school social work endorsement. Candidates must also possess current cpr/First aid certification and demonstrate proficiency in american sign language or agree to acquire it within three years.
