Assistant Teacher (Early Childhood Program Specialist 1) Infant/Toddler & Preschool - Head Start - Permanent, Hourly

The assistant teacher implements the educational curriculum and manages the general operation of an early childhood classroom under the direction of the lead or associate teacher. This involves assisting with daily routines, curriculum development, tracking child progress through ongoing assessments, and ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.

Minimum qualifications include current first aid/Cpr certification or the ability to obtain it, effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and a safe environment. Desired qualifications include one year of childcare experience or equivalent education, and a washington state ece certificate or cda.
