Job description
- Student would be required to plan and implement story hour sessions and programming for ages birth to 17 years old.
- Sessions would align with the Pennsylvania Learning Standards.
- The library offers story time and special programming to community children and Intermediate unit 8 (special needs children).
- Student would be required to strengthen outreach services with Head Start (Roaring Spring and Martinsburg), Garver YMCA and Tot Spot Preschool/Daycare.
- Story hour sessions include using emergent literacy skills, art/craft project as well as an activity.
- This person would be involved in planning and implementing tween/teen programming.
- This is a public library servicing a population of 6,424 persons in the Roaring Springs, East Freedom and Taylor Township area.
- The student would have the opportunity to work with special needs children, low-income children and young adults.
- The student would work alongside and report directly to the youth services coordinator.
