Residential Counselors will establish a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment while providing direct care and supervision for youth assigned to their cabin group. Responsibilities include participating in daily group therapy, implementing therapeutic interventions, modeling respectful communication, and engaging in recreational activities alongside the youth.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates must also be able to handle the physical demands of an outdoor campus, including walking rugged terrain and working in unpredictable summer weather conditions.
We’re hiring for Summer 2026! Camp Wediko is looking to hire emerging professionals who are looking to gain experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic camp environment at our beautiful lakeside campus. Temporary Camp Wediko Residential Counselors will gain experience working with children and adolescents who have social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The program will run from June 25th-August 18th,2026.
Camp Residential Counselors will be hired to work as either Direct Care, Assistant Teachers, or Activities Instructors and will work on a team of 6-8 under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor assigned to the cabin group. Camp Residential Counselors will work alongside our youth throughout the day, from wake up through bedtime routines, and every activity in between: archery, swimming, athletics, canoeing, dance, art, music, kayaking, brain games, nature and discovery, and mountain biking.
