  • Seeking dedicated and enthusiastic students to provide tutoring services at John Trotwood Moore Middle School.
  • As a Federal Work-Study Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' academic progress by providing individual tutoring, after-school tutoring, and in-class support.
  • Your role will involve assisting teachers in providing individual attention to students who require extra help in various subjects.
  • Hours are very flexible and will be adjusted to work around your schedule.
  • This role is for Federal Work Study eligible students.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Individual Tutoring:
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students during the school day.
  • Identify students' academic needs and develop personalized tutoring plans to address their specific challenges.
  • Help students understand and apply concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for exams.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment for students.

2. After-School Tutoring

  • Assist in organizing and conducting after-school tutoring sessions.
  • Work with small groups of students or individual students to reinforce concepts covered in class.
  • Help students with homework assignments, projects, and exam preparation.
  • Monitor and track students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.

3. In-Class Tutoring

  • Collaborate with teachers to identify students who need additional support in the classroom.
  • Provide in-class support to students during lessons, ensuring their understanding of the material.
  • Assist with classroom activities and projects, offering guidance and clarification as needed.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement strategies and interventions to support student learning.
