Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with the school's administrative and support staff to ensure student success. Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other Kindergartner teachers to ensure continuity of instruction. Participate in school-wide initiatives and committees to contribute to the overall success of the school.
• Professional
• Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Stay current on best practices in education and child development.
• Administrative
• Tasks: Complete necessary administrative tasks such as taking attendance, collecting and distributing homework and materials, enforcing dress code, and maintaining classroom organization. Oversee student safety and well-being during class time, recess, and lunch periods. Enforce school rules and procedures consistently. Be familiar with and follow school emergency procedures, including lockdown, fire drills, and evacuation plans. Perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution. California teaching credential or ability and willingness to obtain a California teaching permit/credential if not already credentialed. 1+ years of experience working at school sites or experience working with children/youth, preferred. Strong classroom management skills and ability to build rapport with students. Demonstrated mastery of subject matter. Ability to follow established routines and procedures. Previous experience in charter schools, preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard. Bending at the waist, kneeling, and/or crouching to file materials. Ability to access and navigate various facilities within the organization. Occasional lifting of objects up to twenty pounds. Compensation The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $96,500. Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and expertise. A competitive benefits package is also offered.
