Position Summary
St. Ann Catholic Church is seeking a dedicated and mission‑driven Full‑Time 3rd Grade Teacher to join the parish school faculty. This position is responsible for providing high‑quality instruction, fostering a positive and faith‑centered classroom environment, and supporting the academic, social, and spiritual growth of students. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong instructional skills, a love for working with children, and a commitment to the mission of Catholic education. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with school and Archdiocesan curriculum standards.
- Create a structured, supportive, and welcoming classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
- Integrate faith formation into daily instruction and classroom life.
- Assess student progress using a variety of tools and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Maintain accurate records, including lesson plans, grades, and student documentation.
- Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned duties.
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum planning, school initiatives, and community‑building activities.
- Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and schoolwide events.
- Model Catholic values and contribute positively to the spiritual life of the school community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid Missouri teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
- Experience teaching elementary students or working in a school setting.
- Strong classroom‑management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to create engaging lessons that support academic and faith development.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Must meet Archdiocesan compliance requirements, including Safe Environment training.
