The Extended Care Teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for children in the after-school care program. This role involves supervising students, supporting their academic needs, managing daily routines, and fostering positive relationships. The teacher will contribute to the program's mission by extending the warmth and care of home, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported in their growth and development. Please note that this position is hiring for the Fall of 2026-27.
High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively with a team. Commitment to the mission and values of Calvin Christian’s Extended Care Program. Knowledge of Christian teachings and Reformed perspective is advantageous.

Pay & Benefits This position is a part-time hourly position. Hourly rate ranges between $16-$18 (commensurate with experience). This role is not eligible for benefits but does accrue Self-Care Time (SCT) per school policy.
Travel Requirements No regular travel required.
Working Conditions Work is performed in and around the school campus. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors at moderate noise levels.
