Position Summary
The resident assistant is an undergraduate student who lives in the residence hall and is responsible for encouraging students spiritually and enforcing University regulations.
Principal duties and responsibilities
- Mentor and support group leaders
- Build relationships for the purpose of discipleship
- Practice and encourage a biblical approach to problem solving
- Work at the lobby desk helping visitors and students
- Assist with room check once a week
- Keep students informed of any announcements
- Encourage obedience to university expectations
- Verify students return to the residence hall at night and report absences
- Report maintenance concerns
- Maintain consistent communication with resident supervisor and resident mentors
- Possess strong Christian character/testimony
- Maintain a biblically obedient lifestyle that encourages others to follow Christ
