The Assistant Teacher assists in classroom operations according to state guidelines and center policies, helping to create and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum using Creative Curriculum and NC Foundations for Early Education. Responsibilities also include planning the learning environment, using positive guidance, supervising in the Lead Teacher's absence, and communicating professionally with parents.
A minimum of one year of classroom management experience is required, with North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials being preferred. The candidate must be willing to obtain the NCECC within the first year of employment if not already possessed.
Assists in the operation of the classrooms according to State and local governing agencies, Center policies, NCRLAP (ITERS/ECERS) guidelines.
