Core responsibilities
The clinical social worker champions student well-Being by providing preventive work, consultation to staff and parents, and collaborating with the student support team to develop assistance plans for at-Risk students. Responsibilities also include program development, facilitating support groups, managing family resource centers, and serving as a liaison between home, school, and community.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a master’s degree in social work (Msw) and hold a licensed graduate social worker (Lgsw) or licensed independent clinical social worker (Licsw) license from the district of columbia department of health. A minimum of two years of work experience as a social worker in an urban school setting with a proven track record of high student achievement is also required.
