Bilingual Home Visiting Family Support Specialist

The family support specialist builds trusting relationships with families based on the healthy families america model, providing in-Home support to establish positive home environments and promote child and family well-Being. Utilizing an infant mental health approach, the specialist practices reflective strategies to strengthen parent-Child relationships, improve parenting skills, teach problem-Solving, and reduce family stress.

A minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent, along with mandatory bilingual proficiency in english and spanish. Candidates must also possess experience working with or providing services to children and families, the ability to maintain professional boundaries, and flexibility for occasional evening or weekend hours.
