Head Start Paraprofessional

The paraprofessional supports the teaching team with all aspects of classroom and child supervision and care under the daily supervision of the teacher. This position is responsible for ensuring child health, development, and safety, and for adhering to program rules, applicable laws, and agency policies.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend english. Preferred qualifications include an infant/Toddler child development associate (Cda) certification or the ability to obtain one within two years, and demonstrated awareness of challenges faced by low-Income or special needs families.
