Early Head Start Paraprofessional

Under the daily supervision of the teacher, the paraprofessional supports the teaching team with all aspects of classroom and child supervision and care. The position is responsible for child health, development, and safety, and for ensuring program rules, applicable laws, and agency policies and protocols are followed.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend english. Preferred qualifications include an infant/Toddler child development associate (Cda) certification or the ability to obtain one within two years, bilingual skills in english and spanish, an associate's degree in early childhood education, and at least one year of paid experience with infants and toddlers.
