Security & Safety Officer - Part-Time, 3rd Shift

The security and safety officer is responsible for providing assistance, protection, and safety to students and staff while safeguarding property against threats like fire, theft, and vandalism, which includes rendering emergency medical aid. Primary duties involve patrolling buildings and grounds, enforcing college regulations, monitoring traffic, investigating incidents, filing reports, and assisting external emergency personnel.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged plus at least one year of experience in security or law enforcement, along with a valid operator's license and a clear motor vehicle record. Essential physical capabilities include performing continuous foot patrols in all weather, extensive walking/Standing for eight hours, navigating stairs while carrying 50 lbs, and dragging 150 lbs for 50 feet, in addition to obtaining and maintaining first responder/Emergency responder and cpr/Aed certifications.
