GMC Respiratory Therapy Extern

The extern will assist licensed respiratory therapists by observing and participating in routine and advanced respiratory procedures, including preparing and cleaning life-Support equipment. Duties involve hands-On practice such as cleaning equipment, observing sleep monitoring reports, practicing lung sound auscultation, and setting up oxygen therapy devices.

This program is designed for respiratory therapy students who have completed their first year and requires a high school diploma or equivalent (Ged) as a minimum education level, with an associate's degree in respiratory therapy being preferred. Applicants must possess a basic life support certification.
