Student Advisor, Senior

The senior student advisor primarily supports external undergraduate transfer students and those needing academic policy assistance, such as returning from leave or managing deficiencies. This role involves administrative tasks for transfer processes, academic advising for credit processing and major exploration, and tracking student progress against benchmarks.

A master's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in advising or support services, is required. Essential skills include effective communication, independent judgment for confidential information, problem analysis, and the ability to evaluate transcripts and curriculum requirements, along with knowledge of ferpa.
