Job Description
As a Classroom Based Support (CBS) Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) you will provide 1:1 direct ABA therapy to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other intellectual/developmental delays in Marion Community Schools. You will work directly under a BCBA/BCaBA to ensure clients are steadily making progress and meet the high-quality standards of care determined by BACB Ethical Standards and Alphabet Soup ABA Pediatric Behavioral Services. RBTs/BTs will run programming individually developed for each client using research-based methods of applied behavioral analysis to increase communication, socialization, attending skills, academic toleration, daily living skills, and overall quality of life. This will be done by consistently implementing the individualized treatment plan, individualized educational plan (IEP), behavior intervention plan, recording skills acquisition and behavior data, and other records in a timely manner.
Requirements
Required Qualifications: Minimum High school degree/diploma. Must be 18 years of age. Have Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willing to obtain. Willing to work with others, good collaboration skills Ability to multitask, be detail oriented, and be organized Reliable means of transportation with proof of auto insurance. Must pass criminal background checks along with drug tests.
Physical Requirements
May be Required to lift up to 50 lbs Will be trained on site to be able to implement crisis management technique’s
Responsibilities
Supporting classroom teachers in providing a safe and effective learning environment Teaching functional communication skills, daily living skills, social and play skills, and emotional regulation skills using principles of ABA Entering data on teaching trials and behavior goals into Catalyst Following individualized behavior plans written by the client's Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and IEPs written by the child's interdisciplinary team Communicating with teachers, paraprofessionals, and caregivers through objective, data driven notes Upholding the Registered Behavior Technician Ethics Code
