Join HOPES CAP, Inc. as a Substitute Pre-K Teacher and help create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young learners on an as-needed basis! As a Substitute Pre-K Teacher, you will step in to lead and support classrooms, ensuring children receive high-quality learning experiences. This on-call (per diem) position offers the opportunity to step into the classroom as needed, providing valuable support to young learners and their educational development.

  • Responsibilities: Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment Supervise and support children’s learning, play, and social development Conduct classroom routines, including meals, rest time, and transitions Collaborate with teaching assistants and staff to ensure smooth classroom operations
  • Qualifications: State Certified Substitute Teaching Certification or a State Teaching Certification that meets or exceeds the requirements of a substitute teaching certification or a CE or CEAS issued by the NJ Dept of Education Experience in a Pre-K setting or equivalent experience working with children and working with a team Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and routines A collaborative mindset with a commitment to the mission of supporting children, families and communities

Requirements
