Gering Middle School - Career Specialist (JAG)

Specialists teach a for-Credit elective class using a project-Based curriculum to guide middle or high school students in life and career skills, ensuring full implementation of the jag nebraska model with integrity. Responsibilities include instructing the curriculum, establishing relationships with school staff, documenting student progress in jag force, and creating local employer engagement events.

A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in education, social services, or business, and the candidate must meet nebraska department of education career education permit requirements within 90 days. Candidates must be proficient with microsoft office, capable of independent work, possess a valid driver's license, and be able to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
