Witham Family YMCA - Aquatics - Assistant Swim Instructor

The assistant swim instructor will provide safe and challenging classes according to ymca and safety guidelines, operating under the direction of the program coordinator and/Or aquatics director. This role requires adherence to established safety protocols while delivering instruction.

Candidates must be a minimum of 14 years old, demonstrate emotional maturity and judgment, and pass a swim test to prove competency in required strokes and treading water for two minutes. Required certifications include first aid within 60 days, and lifeguard or aquatic safety assistant certification by age 16 or within 90 days of employment, along with various ymca certifications.
