Substitute Preschool Teacher - Head Start

The substitute head start teacher partners with assistants to promote preschool children's growth across social-Emotional, physical, cognitive, and language domains while actively involving families in education. Essential duties include ensuring classroom safety, implementing curriculum, conducting developmental screenings, maintaining records using databases like childplus, and fostering parent engagement through communication and training.

Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or ged, along with specific early childhood certifications or degrees depending on the level (Associate teacher or teacher i/Ii), plus two years of experience in early childhood programs. Candidates must also pass background registry checks, obtain cpr/First aid and food handlers certifications, and pass pre-Employment physical and drug/Alcohol screenings.
