Substitute Preschool Teacher Assistant - Head Start

The substitute teacher assistant supports teachers by assisting in education, food service, and cleaning within the head start program, ensuring a safe classroom environment at all times. This role involves supporting the development of children's cognitive, physical, social-Emotional, and language skills through curriculum implementation and individualized goal setting.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and must obtain a child development associate (Cda) or early childhood education certificate within two years of hire. Required experience includes six months in a head start classroom or one year in a general classroom/Childcare setting, along with passing background checks and obtaining cpr/First aid and food handlers certifications.
