Preschool Substitute Aide, Kaumakani (Temporary, On-Call)

The aide assists in providing a developmentally appropriate learning environment for approximately 20 children, supporting the teacher in daily classroom lessons, small group instruction, and student supervision using health and safety guidelines. Responsibilities also include providing clerical support such as managing attendance records and preparing materials for a safe classroom environment.

A minimum qualification is a high school diploma or ged, along with good interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a child development associate (Cda) or an associate of arts (Aa) in early childhood education, and sensitivity to hawaiian culture and protestant religion curriculum.
