Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

The role involves planning and providing appropriate individual and group therapy interventions for students based on their individual education plans (Iep) goals, in collaboration with the occupational therapist, family, and school staff. Practitioners must also evaluate student progress, complete necessary reports, and participate in admission, review, and dismissal (Ard) committee meetings.

Candidates must possess an associate’s degree in occupational therapy assistant from an accredited institution and hold an active certified occupational therapy assistant license from the texas state board of occupational therapy examiners. A minimum of one year of experience as an occupational therapist assistant, preferably in a school or pediatric setting, is required.
