Adapted Physical Education Teacher Candidate Pool

The teacher plans and implements instructional programs adhering to system goals, developing, selecting, and differentiating materials based on the hcpss curriculum to meet diverse student needs. Responsibilities include guiding the learning process, establishing objectives consistent with student development, and ensuring a safe, conducive environment for intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth.

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of education and meet the maryland state department of education licensure requirements for physical education. Preferred qualifications include three years of teaching experience and holding a current maryland state department of education license in physical education.
