Core responsibilities
The speech language pathologist collaborates with the special education teacher on daily schedules, testing schedules, and annual meetings, while also providing the teacher with current student lists for maintaining the master special education list. This role involves delivering specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of each child through resource room, inclusion, and/Or pullout services.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a master’s degree in speech language pathology or communicative sciences and disorders, along with a relevant speech language pathology license issued by the department of licensing and regulatory affairs (Lara). Experience working with at-Risk students is preferred, if applicable to the school.
