WIC Nutritionist

The wic nutritionist is responsible for assessing nutritional status of wic participants, assigning food packages, and providing nutrition education and counseling. They also promote breastfeeding and refer participants to medical and community resources.

A bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field is required, along with 15 college credit hours in human nutrition. A master’s degree or registered dietitian status is preferred, along with proficiency in microsoft office and fluency in english.
