Core responsibilities
The mat counselor will counsel individuals and groups regarding substance abuse problems and co-Occurring disorders, developing and implementing therapeutic treatment plans. They will conduct assessments, maintain records, and provide education and referrals to clients.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have a graduate degree and be a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (Ladc) or certified addiction counselor (Cac). A bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences with two years of counseling experience is preferred.
