Swim School Instructor

The swim school instructor is responsible for teaching the provided swim school curriculum and ensuring the safety of participants enrolled in swim instruction under the supervision of the director of aquatics. This includes continual evaluation of participant progress, enforcing pool rules, and assisting with maintaining the cleanliness and safety of locker rooms.

Candidates must be proficient in swimming and safety skills, capable of maintaining certification-Level physical and mental readiness, and possess teaching and youth working skills aligned with ymca standards. The role requires physical ability to respond to emergencies, perform rescues, and work in a warm, humid environment near pool chemicals.
