Supplemental Instruction Leader

The supplemental instruction leader must attend all class sessions, take detailed notes, and conduct collaborative group study sessions to help students learn effective study strategies for historically difficult courses. Major duties also include collaborating with faculty, integrating content and learning skills, and collecting data for program evaluation.

Candidates must be a student or recent graduate who excelled in the targeted course, achieving a grade of a or b, and possess a high school diploma or ged with some college coursework. Applicants must maintain satisfactory academic progress and demonstrate the ability to uphold confidentiality and sensitivity toward diverse student backgrounds.
