Alcohol and Drug Counselor

The alcohol and drug counselor conducts substance-Use assessments, develops individualized intervention plans, and leads prevention efforts through educational activities and group sessions. This role involves close collaboration with center staff and community agencies to ensure comprehensive service delivery to students.

A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, public health, or related behavioral-Science fields is required, along with specific addiction counselor certification mandated by puerto rico licensing boards or a recognized national credential. Candidates must also possess a valid puerto rico category 4 driver's license and demonstrate fluency in both english and spanish.
