Description Nexus Family Healing is hiring a Youth Care Professional - Overnights to our Girl's Group Home in Andover, MN!
Willow Trails Group Home is located in Andover, MN and is a part of Nexus-Mille Lacs. We offer a trauma-informed, family-centered, nationally recognized treatment for struggling teenage girls in a Group Home setting where we work with our youth in character growth, emotional healing, and social maturity while confronting the core issues that resulted in their placement. Effective and positive behavior techniques are incorporated to promote healing in addition to addressing underlying trauma and mental health needs.
Required: High School diploma or GED required Minimum 21+ years of age Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Family Healing driving requirements Experience working with families and trauma-exposed children and adolescents in a residential treatment/counseling capacity Must successfully pass a DHS criminal background check Preferred: Experience working with families and trauma-exposed children in a group home setting highly preferred Physical Demands Must be able to assist staff in physical interventions and restraints of clients Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (2-4 hours) Must be able to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within a residential treatment facility At Nexus Family Healing, our voices and actions are focused on recognizing, affirming and respecting people of every race, ethnic background, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender expression and faith.
