Core responsibilities

The teaching assistant/Paraeducator supports the teacher and classroom teams through direct student support, supervision, and implementing student instructions and lessons within an individualized education setting. This role also involves assisting with lesson plan development, maintaining the classroom environment, and supporting the established behavior management system through data collection and crisis intervention.

Requirements summary

A four-Year college degree is preferred, but an associate's degree or at least 60 college credits will be accepted, along with experience in a school or treatment setting for students with learning or social/Emotional problems. Candidates must possess a valid california driver's license, pass fingerprint clearance, and have the physical ability to implement cpi procedures, including physical restraints, first aid, and cpr.
