Substitute Special Education Teacher

The substitute teacher provides academic instruction and manages classroom behavior in compliance with cde guidelines, actively supporting a strengths-Based, trauma-Informed, and youth-Centered approach. Essential duties include implementing individualized education plans (Ieps), completing lesson plans and progress reports, ensuring accurate data collection, and supervising support staff.

Candidates must possess a mild-Moderate teaching credential with autism certification, or a moderate-Severe teaching credential, or an internship education specialist instruction credential, potentially utilizing an emergency credential or short term staff permit. Required qualifications also include passing fingerprint clearance, having experience in a special education classroom or treatment milieu, and possessing a valid, insurable california driver's license.
