Nurse Educator

The nurse educator is responsible for delivering certified medication technician (Cmt) trainings and other nursing education programs, including initial certification courses and ongoing skills training to ensure safe medication administration. This role also involves developing and maintaining training curriculum and potentially providing coverage for nurse case managers and delegating nurses.

Candidates must have five or more years of professional nursing experience supporting people with disabilities in a community setting and possess a current maryland rn license, with certification as an mttp trainer required or obtainable within three months. Proficiency in standard office software and strong clinical, communication, and adaptability skills are also necessary, while a bachelor's degree in nursing is strongly preferred.
