Job Summary

Assess English Language Proficiency of Non-English Language Background (NELB) student for all newly arriving students. Assists in the administration of the state-mandated English Language Proficiency Assessment (ELP) annual test. Analyzes and interprets English Language Proficiency test results and documents the test results in student information system. Travels between and supports multiple schools by providing expertise and serving as a liaison for English Learners.

  • Administers the state-mandated English Language Proficiency (ELP) initial screening and state-mandated English Language Proficiency (ELP) summative assessment.
  • Analyzes and explains English Language Proficiency testing procedures, scores, and services to students, families, school staff, and community.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to set testing appointments, collect assessment records, and update student information across multiple online platforms.
  • Provides support and collaboration with school and district staff to facilitate ELP testing, data conversations, and training.
