- Responsibilities: Conducting initial and ongoing evaluations of children’s physical capabilities, including strength, mobility, and coordination. Developing individualized treatment plans to improve children’s movement, strength, and functional independence. Addressing developmental or injury-related challenges, including balance, walking, running, and posture. Assisting children in achieving key milestones in motor development and mobility. Providing hands-on interventions to improve gross motor function and reduce the risk of injury. Working with children to improve endurance, flexibility, and coordination. Collaborating with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive therapy plan. Educating families and caregivers on how to assist in the child’s therapy at home and in the school environment. Participating in school-based or B-3 team meetings to develop appropriate goals and review therapy outcomes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of treatment and progress. - QualificationsQualifications: Graduate of an accredited school with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Completion of a clinical affiliation(s) as required by educational institution. Certification or license as required by the State of Wisconsin or applicable state to practice as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist. Willingness to serve as a supervisor for an occupational therapy assistant (OT only) or a physical therapist assistant (PT only).

- Characteristics: Have ability to lift at least 40 pounds using appropriate biomechanical techniques, walk, bend, stand, and reach. Get on and off the floor, pick up or guide children on/off various surfaces, support adult clients in homes, community, or clinic Have ability to speak, hear, and see (near and far) sufficiently enough to evaluate, diagnose, and monitor patient needs, maintain accurate records, recognize people, provide directions, drive to various sites, identify pieces of equipment, and communicate with patients and team members. Have fine motor skills to effectively and efficiently handle therapeutic equipment and document treatment provided on electronic devices. Have endurance to work eight-hour days with a half hour lunch break. Ability to participate in sustained activity for up to four hours at a time.
