Child Life Specialist. CH ED. 20 hr/week. Evening 1430 - 2300.

The child life specialist collaborates with the healthcare team to facilitate age-Specific activities for pediatric patients, helping them cope with hospitalization, procedures, and grief through therapeutic play and education. This role requires utilizing strong interpersonal skills to ensure excellent customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism within a diverse environment.

A bachelor of science or arts degree in child life/Child development or a related field with an emphasis in child life is required, along with 500 hours of a child life internship and one year of experience in a child development/Education center. Candidates must also possess basic life support (Bls) certification and must pass the child life certification exam within one year of hire.
