Teacher of the Visually Impaired - ESY

The itinerant teacher of the visually impaired will provide services to students from birth through 21 in early intervention and school aged programs, which includes screening, assessing, developing ieps, and conducting eligibility evaluations. Essential functions also involve adhering to special education laws, providing services per the iep, inputting data, assisting students with the expanded core curriculum, and serving as a mentor and advocate.

The primary requirement is a valid pennsylvania certification in visually impaired pk-12, and the role involves providing itinerant services across erie, warren, and crawford counties. Desired qualifications include regular education certification and knowledge of various disability categories.
