- K12ED - Thunder Vision Student Worker Position begins Aug 31, 2026 Purpose within the Organization: The purpose of this position is to support the K12 Educational Development department’s Outreach and Support team by facilitating weekly, in-person college and career readiness field trips for middle school students.
- Responsibilities include coordinating GCU-based logistics, delivering engaging presentations, and assisting with various tasks related to the department’s K-12 events and programs.
- Responsibilities Related to Purpose: Serve as a professional and positive representative of GCU and the K12 Educational Development department.
- Prepare, organize, and assemble materials and supplies for events and programs.
- Support the planning and coordination of logistics for various events and programs.
- Help lead on-campus weekly field trips for 6th–8th grade students, ensuring an engaging and educational experience.
- Provide assistance with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
- Equipment Used and Responsibility: MS Office Bookings Telephone Copier Classroom Projectors Qualifications: 10 hours per week available.
- Must be available Mondays from 8:30AM-2PM for GCU-based field trip experiences.
- Additional hours to meet the 10 hour-week can be flexible.
- Confident and comfortable presenting to middle school student groups.
- Capable of professionally managing and guiding large groups.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Eager to learn, adaptable, and open to new tasks.

- Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment: Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
- You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
