This role also involves communicating with management regarding assignments, serving as a resource for communication access, and adhering to professional conduct codes.

Requirements summary

Candidates need a minimum of a bachelor's degree in interpreting or another field, coupled with specific interpreting experience with deaf individuals facing mental illness and/Or developmental disabilities, along with required certifications (Csc, ct/Ci, nic from rid, or level iii from nad). Alternatively, an associate's degree plus three years of experience is acceptable, and uncertified interpreters must obtain certification within one year of employment.
