Afterschool Assistant Teacher (Temporary, Full-Time)- Soundview

The assistant teacher will assist in planning, developing, and delivering the afterschool program, which includes leading educational and recreational activities for k-12 students. Essential duties involve supporting students with homework, collaborating on enrichment activities, maintaining the classroom environment, and participating in staff meetings and training.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate/Bachelor's degree in education or a related field preferred, alongside at least two years of experience working with children aged 5-16 in an afterschool setting. Applicants need a kind, creative, and flexible personality, must pass a multi-Stage background investigation, and should demonstrate sensitivity when working with families experiencing homelessness.
