Position Title

Adjunct Instructor of Exercise and Sport Science Hours Per Week Not to exceed 83 hours per month Posting Date May 2021 Job Type Adjunct Instructor Position Purpose Teach various courses in the Sport and Exercise Science Assign grades for courses as necessary Complete course assessment documentation as necessary Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Willingness to learn the use of instructional technologies to teach traditional, hybrid, and/or distance learning (online) courses Knowledge and skills with software applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience Demonstrated teaching experience Minimum of one year experience teaching in an online or hybrid environment Understanding of competencies required for specific courses Excellence in teaching and facilitating the learning process for students Applying diverse instructional strategies, including use of technology, in response to learner demographics and learning styles Excellent oral, written, and listening skills Education Required: Master’s degree in appropriate area for courses to be taught Preferred: Minimum of two years’ experience in the profession Previous teaching experience at the high school or post-secondary level Certification or license appropriate to specialty (e.g., NATA, ACSM, NSCA)
