The Instructional Assistant supports children with behavioral, health, or disability-related challenges by implementing individualized support plans and fostering inclusion. They also collaborate with the teaching team to document progress, manage behavioral incidents, and maintain ongoing communication with families.
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of experience working with young children. Additional requirements include a valid driver's license, CPR/First Aid certification, and successful registration with the Central Background Registry.

We are seeking a Substitute Instructional Assistant to join our Head Start program!
This is a Part-time position up to 19 hours weekly.
The Substitute Instructional Assistant works to support classrooms where there are children who need additional support and attention due to behavioral, health, or disability related challenges. The Instructional Assistant works in collaboration with the teaching team to support children by utilizing the protocols created in response to their behavioral, health or disability needs. The Instructional Assistant will support the child throughout the day by fostering inclusion in all activities, encoring meaningful learning experiences and building positive relationships with peers and staff.

There are no supervisory duties in this position.
