  • La Esperanza Preschool is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher who is fluent in Spanish and English. The Lead Teacher will create and implement engaging lesson plans, guide assistant teachers, and foster a positive, structured learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate is nurturing, organized, culturally responsive, and committed to supporting the development of bilingual learners. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, engaging lesson plans
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and language development
  • Promote Spanish language development in the classroom
  • Supervise and support assistant teachers and classroom floaters
  • Maintain positive communication with families
  • Observe and document children’s development and progress
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom and learning environment
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures including all state licensing and accrediting organization regulations

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
  • Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with preschool-aged children
  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to pass background check and meet licensing requirements
