Teachers are responsible for completing required training, utilizing the LifeWise curriculum to plan and deliver lessons for grades 6-12, and investing in students through relationship building and prayer. They must also maintain accurate student records, manage the classroom environment, and act as an ambassador for LifeWise Academy in the community.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess in-depth Bible knowledge and at least two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting. A mature personal Christian faith aligned with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith and active participation in a doctrinally aligned local church are mandatory requirements.
LifeWise Secondary Education teachers will demonstrate in-depth Bible knowledge and outstanding teaching abilities for students in grades 6-12. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, committed and proficient in teaching. Qualifications
and Experience
Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting
Complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of the start date and prior to teaching in the LifeWise classroom
Participate in the annual LifeWise Summit each year
Attend at least one Teachers' Lounge or one LifeWise Meet-Up per year
Stay up to date on training and updates by regularly checking LifeWise email
Teach LifeWise Classes
Utilize the LifeWise curriculum to lesson plan and map out curriculum customization
Apply LifeWise policies, procedures and resources
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using only LifeWise curriculum
Invest in connecting with students through building relationships and praying for them regularly
Cultivate an organized and encouraging classroom environment through various teaching strategies and discipline that is redemptive in nature

Communicate
Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
Attend events as available or requested by the program director
Maintain ongoing dialogue with school personnel to stay apprised of class schedule changes and ensure student well-being
Build relationships with volunteers and keep them apprised of schedule changes
Submit regular updates, stories and photos to the program director
Promote and communicate LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions, ensuring alignment with the organization's core values and beliefs
