Core responsibilities
The youth mentor engages referred youth to help them identify and achieve goals toward success and independence by building rapport and providing a learning environment, while also developing, implementing, and updating individual goal plans collaboratively. Responsibilities also include administrative tasks such as maintaining case notes, assisting with intake, connecting youth to community resources, and coordinating services with external providers.
Requirements summary
Candidates require either a bachelor's degree in a related field plus one year of direct youth work experience, or an associate's degree plus a minimum of two years of direct youth work experience. A valid driver's license with two years of driving experience, reliable transportation, and willingness to drive and transport youth throughout schuylkill county are mandatory.
